Food & Nutrition

PCM offers a variety of programs to support families in need, providing up to a week’s worth of groceries once a month. Additionally, PCM supplies transient foods to individuals without stable housing, oering easy-to-prepare, no-cook options, as well as items that are convenient for travel. The food provided includes items from both PCM’s own pantry and resources designed to ensure that food-insecure individuals, including seniors, have access to a nutritious diet. These food items include vegetables, meat, dairy products, and desserts.

What's Required for Assistance.

PCM provides a 2-3 day supply of emergency groceries to families in crisis once a month up to five times in any given one-year period. To qualify for assistance, households must provide proof of McCracken County Residency, dates of birth for all household members, & last 4 of social security numbers for all household members.

In order to qualify for food services you must have:

  • Proof of McCracken County Residency
  • Date of Births of all members of the household
  • Last 4 of the Social Security Numbers for all members of the household.

Food Donations

All food donations are welcome, but here are a few of the items we especially need right now. We take donations Monday-Thursday 9 am-noon and 1-3:30 pm, Friday 9 am-noon at 402 Legion Drive. Thanks for all your support.

PCM Food Pantry

The PCM Food Pantry, part of Paducah Cooperative Ministry, helps fight food insecurity in McCracken County by providing food to those In need. It relies on generous donations from local residents and businesses. The pantry oers familiar, easy-to-prepare food, including both complete meals and pantry staples that can feed an entire family. It serves struggling families as well as transient individuals passing through the area. Thanks to the generosity of local donors, the PCM Food Pantry is able to help those facing dicult circumstances. It provides more than just food—it’s a lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet and a reminder of the compassion and solidarity that exists within the Paducah community.

TEFAP

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a federal program that helps supplement the diets of people with low income by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. USDA provides 100% American-grown USDA Foods and administrative funds to states to operate TEFAP.

Feeding America

Feeding America is the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States. We partner with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs to bring food to people facing hunger. We advocate for policies that create longterm solutions to hunger.

CFSP

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) aims to improve the health of low-income individuals aged 60 and older by providing supplemental nutritious USDA Foods. USDA distributes both food and administrative funds to participating states to operate the program. However, there is currently a waiting list, and only 404 slots are available. Other Programs

Since 1989, PCM has worked to break the cycle of homelessness in our community. Our Fresh Start Village seeks to provide a safe, homelike environment, a sense of hope and a sense of self-worth, as well as guidance and access to essential resources
