PCM is launching a 50-bed emergency shelter—the first and only in Paducah and McCracken County—to provide a secure refuge for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. The facility will offer personal storage, shower facilities, nourishing meals, and tailored support from trained community health workers. By partnering with local agencies and community organizations, the shelter will connect guests with essential resources to address the root causes of homelessness.
PCM’s food pantry is relocating to a larger facility at 425 Legion Drive, enabling us to implement a client-choice model that reimagines the traditional pantry experience. In this model, guests shop like they would in a grocery store—selecting groceries that meet their unique dietary needs, cultural preferences, and household sizes. This approach empowers individuals and families to choose what they need while also reducing food waste.
